The Gargoyle

The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. Where to begin on this one. The story is about a man, porn star and porn producer, who gets in a car accident and comes out crispy. He is in the hospital, contemplating his suicide, when a woman comes into his life and claims they knew one another around 1300. The story goes back and forth between the present and the past. Interesting, a few noteworthy insights, and a bit bizarre. In a good way. There are pages that talk about his meals and I think the menu literally takes up an entire page. Not sure I'd recommend it, but I wouldn't tell anyone not to read it. It would make for an interesting conversation between those who have read it.

Golden Fool, The Tawny Man Trilogy #2

Golden Fool by Robin Hobb. Just fantastic. I have read about these characters for countless hours and every new book feels like coming home. These books are a bit long, but I never feel that they are slow or boring. Great read.

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. Funny, irreverent and heartbreaking all in one. Great book. Grabs you from page one and never lets go. Quick read and recommended.
